Prize Payouts

These are the official prizes for The NewlyDead Game 2011! Remember, this year, there was a change to the Metabolically Challenged rules. There will be no return of the entry fee for the teams that score zero points. Instead, for each roster that finishes the year with a big fat zero, you will get one roster in the following year's game with all your Green Room people activated. If you choose not to join the game in the following year (or if there is no game), this prize will be null & void.

Note: I have received some feedback from players who feel that this is an unfair advantage. I really didn't think about it from that angle. My thinking was that it was more unfair to reduce the prize pool by $25 a pop. However, when the people speak, I will listen. (In fact, I would be open to suggestions on other ways to reward the Metabolically Challenged, or if they should be rewarded at all)

Therefore, having said that, it is likely that this rule will change again if there is a 2012 game. Hopefully, we will not have to worry about awarding this prize, as we did not have any last year, and there are only 6 left this year with 6.5 months left to go.

Gone But Not Forgotten

.........well, truth be told, these people actually were forgotten by all our team directors!

This is a list of people who have died this year but were not on any of our rosters. Some famous, some, not so much. It is a random list of deaths that I have come across personally, ones that have been brought to my attention by someone in the group, or ones I have found recorded by other dead pool games.

Having said that, do not assume that this list of people represents points that were missed out on. None of these corpses are being questioned, researched, discussed, voted on, etc. with regards to celebrity or fame, or even within the confines of our rules. Their point eligibility is a moot point since no one had them!

This list is being kept strictly FYI and for our "sick fun". Therefore, be careful if referencing it while making future lists. It can
IN NO WAY be used as evidence in our game's eligibility dispute process. For instance, you cannot say something like:
"What's-his-name is on the 2011 forgotten list, so why doesn't So-and-so count now"!
